If you would like to commission a custom pet portrait, please read through this page for instructions, pricing, and information and then contact me through the “Contact” link in the main menu to get things underway.

PHOTOS

I work from your photos that you send via email. Please provide several clear photos of your pet (or pets) for me to work from. At times, I may work from several photos to create the ideal portrait of your pet. I want to have every option possible to capture the personality that you love about your friend and companion.

PROCESS

When I have your photos to work from, I will begin sketching your pet and will send a sketch for your approval. If you like the sketch, I will proceed with the final painting. When the painting is finished, I will send an image to you for your approval, once again. After the final painting is complete, it will be shipped to you safely and as quickly as possible. Once scheduled, the process of sketching and painting takes anywhere from 1 - 3 weeks.

Your final painting will be hand-painted on top-quality archival watercolor paper with the highest quality watercolor paint. You will also receive a care sheet detailing the best way to frame and preserve your new portrait.

PRICING

This pricing reflects the sizes listed, below. If you would like a larger or custom size that is not listed, please let me know and I will give you a price quote that reflects the size of painting you would like to commission. (Sizes below are in inches and represent the actual painted image size. The watercolor paper size will actually be a bit larger.) Prices are for unframed watercolor paintings. No frame is included.

5X7 - $150 (US)

8x10 - $200 (US)

11X14 - $300 (US)

Please note: Each additional pet painted will increase the price by $50. For instance, an 8x10 with 2 pets will be $250. A portrait of more than one pet is restricted to sizes 8x10 and larger as the 5x7 size is too small to adequately include more than one pet.

Payment will be requested after approval of the final painted portrait. After payment is received, your portrait will be shipped quickly and safely. I accept payment through PayPal, check, or money order. Personal checks will need to clear before the painting is sent.

A flat postage fee of $10 within the continental United States will be added to your order total. International orders will be charged on a case by case basis and will reflect actual shipping charges.

PETS

Will I paint your horse, turtle, fish, sloth, or bumblebee? Sure! I am happy to paint whatever kind of animal your friend happens to be.
